How I switch from street set to track wheel/tire set and back
My everyday tires are Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and track choice is Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Connect. I have two identical sets of OEM wheels — ZCP competition pack 19” BMW Style 359 wheels, 9” wide front and 10” rear with street and track tires on. So, every time prior to track day I switch from street to track tires in 15 minutes or so.
Equipment used:
Generic garage jack, lowered pick-up for 2.5 tons
Makita DTW1002 18V 1/2" Impact Wrench
Torque wrench w extender
Blue 17mm sockets
I rise one side from the front jacking mount to switch F and R wheels at once.
